Hasselblad Xpan 135 film panoramic camera, 1999

Hasselblad Xpan 135 film “panoramic” camera, 1999

The Hasselblad Xpan is a 35 mm film camera. It features a coupled rangefinder. 3 lenses are available. Construction is titanium and aluminum. It's most unique feature is Dual Format Design. The user can switch between 24x36 mm and 24x65 mm format in the middle of the roll without reloading film.

The camera is made by Fuji in Japan. Locally it is called a TX-1. The are 2 differences. The Fuji TX-1 is Silver Titanium vs Xpan Charcoal Grey. The Fuji has a wooden grip vs Xpan rubber. The partnership between Hasselblad and Fuji makes a nice fit. Fuji products are always excellent and innovative but they are not efficient at promoting their cameras outside of Japan.
